While wars are going on all over the world and countries fight each other with soldiers, a large group of especially young people are fighting a completely different war. A war against themselves. In the small village Malawa in the south of Poland, every year a little yellow house is settled with struggling young boys and girls, getting treatment and trying to get well enough to at one point go back to a normal life. I spent a summer at the treatment house trying to capture what happens when an eating disorder possesses your mind. With my camera as my tool I discovered that anorexia and bulimia has little to do with the actual body but much more to do with control and perfection.
